Grimaldi Lines strengthend Spain service

New ferry route Livorno - Valencia

Starting on July 14, the Italian Grimaldi Lines opened a new connection between Livorno and Valencia (Spain). So far the route connecting the Tuscan port to the Spanish city has been used only for the transport of carriage cargo. According to a statement, starting in mid-July the Neapolitan group will be introducing a fast ferry in place of a ro/ro ship with a frequency from three departures every 15 days to two departures weekly. The ship to be used is the fast ferry Sorrento (built in 2003), which has a cargo capacity of 2,230 linear metres and space for 160 cars. With 93 cabins and 64 seats, the ship can carry a total of 830 passengers.
Grimaldi Lines now offers the following ferry connections from Italy to Spain: Civitavecchia - Barcelona, Livorno - Barcelona and Porto Torres - Barcelona. Additional Grandi Navi Velocci (GNV) offers the Genoa - Barcelona route.
