TransRussiaExpress with stop in Latvia
Finnlines subsidiary TransRussiaExpress (TRE) is strenghtening it's fleet and expanding the existing liner service between Lübeck/Sassnitz and St.Petersburg via wayport Ventspils in Latvia being an important entrance gate for the Riga area and as transit port direction Moscow. The MV "TRANSLUBECA" will be substituted on 28.07.2010 by the modern MV "TRANSRUSSIA" on the wednesday departures from Lübeck. She is a sister to the already employed MV "TRANSEUROPA" with 3.200 lanemeter, 124 passenger places, 21 knots speed and highest ice class increasing the capacity on the line with clear 30%. Ventspils will be implemented into the TRE schedule with the first call on 29.07.2010. At the same time calls to Sassnitz-Mukran will be increased. This adjusted concept is strengthening the line's position and opening new possibilities direction cargo flows as well as passenger business between Germany, Latvia and Russia reliably and on highest standard.
