SeaFrance suspends service. Travellers should take alternative operators

SeaFrance sailings between the Ports of Dover and Calais have been suspended from 15 Nov until further notice. The management of the French state-owned company has today been placed under the control of the administrators. The company has been thrown a 2 month lifeline to find a buyer after a French court rejected two rival takeover bids for the state-owned company. SeaFrance has decided that commercial activities of the company will resume as soon as all the issues concerning safety and security are resolved. They are conscious of the inconvenience this situation is causing and they apologise for this. Ferrylines.com will keep you informed of any changes to the present situation. In the meantime we recommend other operators who cover the same route. For example, P&O Ferries provides crossings up to 24 times a day, with the journey taking around 90 minutes.
