New ferry route Livorno - Tanger Med. Grimaldi Lines expands services
Morocco will enter into the network of Grimaldi Short Sea connections thanks to the new line Livorno - Tanger Med dedicated to the transport of driven trucks, trailers, containers, cars and rolling cargo. First departure is scheduled for 20th November from Livorno. With a weekly frequency, the new line will be operated by M/V “Ikarus Palace”, a modern ship able to transport up to 160 units of trucks and trailers, connecting Italy to Morocco on a very competitive transit time. The commercial flows and the activities of transport and logistic companies operating in the two countries can take advantage from the new service since it will allow significant savings in road transport costs, cutting expenses and driving hours, with more safety for commodities and drivers. Thanks to its 26 knots of speed, the ship will perform the itinerary from Livorno to Tangiers Med calling as well at the port of Valencia, in Spain, thus enhancing the frequency on the line Livorno - Valencia and introducing the service from Spain to Morocco connecting Valencia to Tangiers Med.
