Anek Lines launches a new ferry line Bari - Durres (Albania).

The Port Authority of Levant and the Greek company ANEK Lines, launched a new daily line dedicated to the maritime transport of rolling cargo and passengers connecting the ports of Bari and Durres (Albania), operated from June 12 to September 15 by the vessel "Lato" in collaboration with Adriatica Ferries. The agent of ANEK Lines in Bari, Adria Shipping, announced that from September 15, the vessel "Lato" will be replaced by the smaller one of ANEK Lines, the "Lerapetra".

Francesco Mariani, president of the Port Authority of Levant, said: "The port of Bari is the reference traffic point from Europe to Albania representing over 75% of the total traffic directed to Albania, followed by the port of Brindisi, just under of 10%".
