Corsica Ferries to launch new and fastest ferry link to Elba.

Corsica Ferries opens a new seasonal ferry route Piombino - Elba, which will operate between 24th June and 17th September. The new line will be sailing six times a day in both directions: 07.15h, 09.15h, 12.00h, 14.15h, 17.15h and 19.15h. Back from Portoferraio at 08.15h, 10.45h, 13.15h, 15.45, 18.15h and 20.15h. The crossing time will be 30 minutes that is shorter than the crossing time of the competitors. This operating vessel „Corsica Express Seconda“ accomodates space for 535 passengers and 150 cars. The vessel is 103 m long and reaches a maximum speed of 37 knots (nearly 70 km/h). A seat is available for every passenger. On board there is a bar, a snack bar and a boutique.
