Increasing capacity on the ferry highway Tallinn - Helsinki

Eckerö Line had announced in May 2019 that it will be chartering the RoPax ferry European Endevour starting on Muuga-Vuosaari route from June 2019. Muuga is located east of Tallinn, Vuosaari in the east of Helsinki. In addition to freight also passengers and cars are to be transported in order to serve the increasing demand on the route at Eckerö Line. The new ship Finbo Cargo sails twice a day from Tallinn to Helsinki and back; the crossing takes three hours. The second vessel Finlandia sails as usual the Tallinn - Helsinki route 2-3 times a day.
At the same time Tallink announced accepting regular passengers on the Muuga-Vuosaari cargo route from 12 June 2019. Tallink's ship operating on the route, vessel Sea Wind, takes 3.5 hours and the trip back from Vuosaari to Muuga 4 hours. The price for a single ticket for all departures all year round will be the same: 20 EUR for the vehicle and 10 EUR per passenger.
