Direct ferry link Greece - Cyprus expected for 2020

Twenty years after ceasing the ferry connection between Greece and Cyprus could resume in summer 2020 after both countries gave the green light and the EU pledged financial support. According to reports, the ferry linking Cyprus and Greece will launch in May 2020, just in time for the peak summer season. The ferry will connect Limassol (CY) and Piraeus (Athens, GR), and there have also been talks of an intermediate stop, such as Rhodes. The ferry service is expected to be available once a week between May to September and once every fortnight during the rest of the year. The sailing duration will be about 30 hours.
