Golden Star Ferries adds Sporades archipelago to their network
Greek ferry operator Golden Star Ferries is further expanding its domestic network: after launching a Rafina to Heraklion route (via the Cyclades) in May 2018, the ferry company is now launching routes in northern Greece: a daily ferry service from both Volos and Thessaloniki to Skiathos, Skopleos and Alonnisos is offered until October. For this routes they are using two recently acquired passenger-only high-speed ferries.
Golden Star Ferries is competing from Volos with Hellenic Seaways, Anes Ferries and Aegean Flying Dolphins. From Thessaloniki it sails without competition to the Sporades, after Hellenic Seaways ceased this route.
