The Turkish Aegean Sea Ways introduced a new ferry connection between Lavrio (near Athens) and Cesme (near Izmir). This ferry link connects the Turkish and Greek mainlands for the first time, after years of planning.
The new daily ferry service will start on June 2, 2019. Departure is 7am from Cesme with arrival in Lavrio at 2pm, return at 6pm and arrival in Cesme 1am. The sailing duration is 7 hours. The company offers free shuttle service from/to Lavrio and Cesme.
