Seattle is the busiest Washington State Ferries terminal and the city-centre gateway to the Kitsap Peninsula, with car ferry services to Bainbridge Island and Bremerton. All state ferries use Colman Dock on the central waterfront at Pier 52.

Colman Dock is the single Washington State Ferries facility in Seattle and sits directly on the downtown waterfront at Pier 52.

The dock was rebuilt under the Seattle Multimodal Terminal at Colman Dock project, which replaced the seismically vulnerable timber structure and the passenger building.

Both services carry foot passengers and vehicles and run year-round. Neither takes vehicle reservations, so drivers queue at the terminal.
